Colchester: It's going, going gone to Heather
From the archive, first published Tuesday 7th May 2002.
"Art lover Heather Saxby is the proud owner of a piece of work by controversial artist Damien Hirst - and a church is about £500 better off for it.
Mrs Saxby, 42, of Westlands estate in Colchester, put her bid in for the work which was being auctioned off to help pay for restoration on All Saints' Church in Shrub End, Colchester.
The piece, entitled And Then There Were Four, plays on the name of D'Artagnan and features a dart and an onion in a box signed by the artist".
The Onion in the picture displayed is not the original onion. Since 2002 the original onion has rotten. Please feel free to contact us for any enquiry.
