Southampton Seamen’s' Home (The Mountbatten House)
The Seamen’s' Home was opened in 1909 to accommodate the Sailors of the merchant navy. 24 of the crew members of the RMS Titanic stayed there the night before they sailed on their fateful journey.

Southampton Sailors Home Entrance Floor Mosaic Tiles
This magnificent Carter & Co - Poole Pottery - (1907) mosaic tiles was located on the entrance of the building. The date 1909 is related to the year of when the building was opened to the public.
As shown in these photos, the mosaic tiles art-work have minor damages on its edge. However, all pices removed are safely kept.
